COUNSELLING WITH MEI MEI

About ME

Hello, I am Mei Mei Jacklin, a fully qualified psychodynamic counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I offer a calm, warm, non-judgemental space to talk, where we can work together to help you make sense of what is happening.
As my core training is psychodynamic, I am interested in past experiences and early relationships which can influence us without us even knowing.
Central to the way I work is the counselling relationship, where you will be listened to with respect and understanding. This can provide a safe, consistent space.
I aim to accompany you with care and curiosity. My approach is gentle and patient but also very present and clear. I will do my best to help you think about your struggles and difficulties, vulnerabilities and strengths.
I like to work creatively; so I can offer an individual, supportive environment for us to work in a way which suits you. I believe that emotions can be expressed through the body and that the body, mind and emotions are connected.
I am also CBT trained and can integrate these techniques if appropriate.
